The mother who first notified officials at a Clinton, Pa., high school that she suspected inappropriate sexual contact toward her son by the man at the center of the Penn State University sex scandal, tells ABC News "Good Morning America" that her son was powerless to say no to Jerry Sandusky.
The mother, whose son is described as "Victim 1" in a grand jury report on the escalating case against Sandusky, Penn State's former defensive coordinator, told of how her son feared outing a fooball legend.
"I had said, 'You know, maybe we should have come to this conclusion earlier - you should have told me,'" the mother, whose name was withheld, told George Stephanopolous of her son's experience. "He was like, 'Well, I didn't know what to do. You just can't tell Jerry no.'",,read more
